Ramlow/Stein was honored to be a part of the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE)’s press conference this morning that unveiled their plans to transform the Roy W. Johnson Residence Hall (RWJ), into a “Living-Learning Community with modernized, flexible living and learning spaces designed to serve the diverse needs of students and function as an extension of the classroom.” MSOE will honor their late president by renaming the dorm the Hermann Viets Memorial Tower.
The plans include a 20 percent increase in capacity by adding 96 beds. Also included are two story “collaboration hubs” that will have beautiful unobstructed views of the city skyline. Construction is planned to start May of 2020 with a reopening for the Fall 2021 School Year.
