Claire Konnor
“My passion within the architecture world is deeply connected to historic architecture. Historic preservation is essential to commemorating local history, being climate-conscious, and maintaining iconic perspectives.”
Claire brings expertise in architectural preservation to R/S, combining technical knowledge with a sophisticated understanding of historic structures. Her early career in St. Paul focused on multi-family developments, providing valuable experience in complex architectural projects. A formative study abroad experience in Sicily sparked her passion for preservation. Now, back in her hometown of Milwaukee, she applies this specialized expertise to safeguard and restore the city’s architectural heritage. For Claire, preservation isn’t just about keeping old buildings standing, it’s about protecting the soul of a city. As an active voice in the Milwaukee Preservation Alliance, she champions projects that balance historic integrity with modern needs. Her approach is simple: listen to what a building can teach us, then help it serve the next generation.
