Debra Zins

AIA, LEEDAP, CDT

“I like adaptive reuse, where we take something that might be a little worn at the edges and resuscitate it, bring it to new form.”

Clients who team with Debra will experience working with a professional who fulfills broad responsibilities at the firm, brings an international perspective to projects, speaks Italian, has a deep interest in historic preservation and adaptive reuse, and enjoys collaboration. Debra pursued architecture after working in a corporate financial setting for six years and wanting to go from a 2-D world to a 3-D one. She studied architecture in Italy, where the curriculum was all in Italian, and did translating work on the side. After earning her professional license and living in Italy for five years, Debra returned to the U.S. to design architectural and space planning software, and subsequently joined RAMLOW/STEIN in 2000.
