RAMLOW/STEIN is grateful to have partnered in the multi-phase master plan of Pius XI. Our work to support the mission of Pius XI included two major additions to the building and significant interior renovations. The transformation of the campus has provided the students, faculty, and community of Pius XI with a new front door and chapel, state-of-the-art performance hall with much-needed back-of-house space, a media center, a black box theater, and a field house complex.

Phase I
Pius XI High School is among the largest non-public high schools in Wisconsin with an enrollment of 800 students. Twenty years after it first opened, the school now has a discrete chapel which became the catalyst for a new entrance, media/learning center and science laboratories.

Phase II
This new field house was designed to serve the fitness and wellness needs of all Pius students. The field house provides practice and competition space for 23 interscholastic sports.

Phase III
The Father Robert V. Carney Performing Arts Center is a 500-seat state-of-the-art theater converted from the former gymnasium. The new performance space with an orchestra pit features a premium LARES sound enhancement system. The lobby has two art galleries showcasing the highest quality Pius student work.
