The Racine Behavioral Health Center will be a wellness-focused, new facility type designed to elevate mental and behavioral health services in the area, addressing critical needs, bridging the gap and reducing the strain on hospital and detention facilities. The 40,000-square-foot facility will provide separate services for both crisis treatment and substance abuse disorder, along with supportive administrative services and community space.
The first floor offers thoughtfully planned facilities dedicated to supporting mental and behavioral health, addiction services, counseling offices, transitional living spaces, and contemplative respite areas. By incorporating trauma-informed design principles throughout, our aim is to create a centralized hub for comprehensive mental health care, reducing reliance on emergency services and enhancing overall community health outcomes. The second floor provides a central hub for all related supportive care administrative services, along with much needed community convening space.
This project is a key component of the Racine Comprehensive Plan, aligning with its goals to revitalize and strengthen the character and livability of Racine’s downtown core, commercial zones, and neighborhoods. We are proud to contribute to the community’s vision for a healthier, more vibrant future.
