The first major addition construction project on USM’s campus since 1985, the new 33,000 SF, three story science wing addition for the Upper School includes six classrooms, project rooms for individual or group research, and faculty offices on three levels, a greenhouse, gallery space, and a large multi-purpose space, Mellowes Hall.

Mellowes Hall serves the needs of the upper school science curriculum and offers a unique space for presentations, college fairs, parent gatherings, and is equipped with robust audio/visual technology to support the school’s drama program.  The space features an open floor concept for a variety of seating configurations.
